Distance Education Survey Results

The participants were predominantly male middle aged adults.  All were English speakers and just under half of them were single.  Only one had a young child to care for at home.  All had at least High School education and most had an University undergraduate degree.  Occupations of the participants ranged from direct service worker to systems engineer and workplaces ranged from summer camp to hospital with office workplaces predominating.  Most of the important job duties involved high levels of social skills.  On average they worked for income about 30 hours a week, spent about 8 hours on household chores, and spent about 7 hours a week on volunteer activities.  The participants were comfortable in front of a computer for an average of almost an hour and a half.  The survey responses are indicated below enclosed in brackets [ ] along with the mean response where appropriate.
